Looks like a great time.

For the record micah - it breaks down as follows:

Burgers with Finster at the Charcoal Pit in Wilmington, DE. I went to Finster's rival high school about 5 years before he graduated. I guess I was the away team since I was up visiting, and was happy to see the Charcoal Pit still in business and meet a fellow forum member. Their burgers are as big as your head. I would post a picture but you still wouldn't believe me.

Breakfast with Jim Glynn (and his wonderful kids) at the Jewish Mother here in Va Beach as they were passing through headed for warmer climes.

Numerous beers, burgers, reubens and shows with whirlwind (Chris) and sister whirlwind at various venues all over Tidewater (Four ten oh nine). Chris' sister is hot - I am glad there is only one of those two that looks like Chris.

Unfortunately, the stars have unaligned and there is a schedule conflict with the upcoming Furthur show at the Spaceship.

I am hopeful that some of you guys and gals are seriously thinking about FloydFest this year - Robert Randolph and the Family Band was just added to the artist line-up. I know Jim Glynn was thinking about it. Did I mention earlier there are two Beer Gardens?

The first picture is me and Finster (Frank) at the Charcoal Pit. The pained expression on my face is a result of the cheeseburger I am trying to push into a more comfortable position in my gullet.

SDS - Head to Lane Stadium before any home game and there are usually a couple of guys working the tailgate lots behind the East stands. That's where I got mine.

True story - I was out a few years ago for one of the games and I saw one of these kids selling the Hokie stealies. I walked up and asked "How much?" He told me they were 10 bucks each. Then I told him I was from Grateful Dead Enterprises and I would need to see his vendor license or I would have to confiscate the rest of his shirts. He paused and then handed his bag to me with about 100 shirts in it.

When I told him I was just kidding the expression on his face alternated between relief and "You asshole".

I bought two, gave him a $20 tip and told him to be careful.

I was visiting inlaws in Bedford, Viriginia and had forgotten to bring a hat. So I went to the US 460 Wal-mart to get an Alabama hat. I walked up, I walked down, left, right. HOK-ees? "WTF is a HOK-ee?" I wondered. I finally asked a woman, "Excuse me, where's the Tide stuff?" "Huh" was all I got. You're not in Tuscaloosa anymore, Dorothy, I thought.

But this was:

The long overdue picture of me and Jim, one of his girls and the left arm of the statue of King Neptune Nemo at the Va Beach oceanfront.

It was cold and our faces were frozen.........

Hey Mando, I was seriously considering Floyd Fest this year but last Tuesday my friend asked me to crew in the Around Long Island Race; which happens to be the same date range as Floyd Fest. July is a ways off and anything can happen but it looks like I'll be sailing around long island that weekend. One of these years I'll make it down for Floyd. My family is pressuring me to make the trip to SC again so maybe we can meet up for Brunch again this year.

Well if I couldn't do FloydFest, I suppose sailing around Long Island in July would be an okay consolation prize.

Let me know about if and when you are coming through. I'll always do brunch - the Jewish Mother at the oceanfront is gone, but the new one is supposed to be opening soon. If not, there's always IHOP or your own personal Twilight Zone episode at one of the local Waffle Houses.
